Qutub Miner

Qutub Miner

Qutub Minar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most prominent examples of Indo-Islamic architecture in India. It was constructed by Qutb-ud-din Aibak, the first Sultan of Delhi, in 1193. It was later expanded by his successors, including Iltutmish and Firoz Shah Tughlaq. The construction of the Qutub Minar marked the establishment of the Delhi Sultanate in India. Qutub Minar is a towering five-story minaret, with a height of 73 meters (240 feet). The minar is made of red sandstone and marble, and it features intricate Islamic calligraphy and geometric patterns. The architecture of the Qutub Minar is a testament to the craftsmanship of the time and is an excellent example of Indo-Islamic and Afghan architectural styles.
