Safardarjung Tomb

Safardarjung Tomb

The tomb was built in 1754-1755 and is a mausoleum for Mirza Muqim Abul Mansur Khan, who was the prime minister of the Mughal Empire under Emperor Muhammad Shah. It is a testament to the Mughal architecture and their cultural and historical influence in the region. Safdarjung's Tomb is surrounded by a well-maintained garden, which adds to its charm. The garden is laid out in the Mughal Charbagh style, which features four quartered gardens with pathways and water channels. The garden and the tomb's architecture make it a serene and picturesque location for visitors. Safdarjung's Tomb is part of India's cultural heritage and is protected as a heritage site by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Its preservation and maintenance contribute to the country's historical and architectural legacy.
