Global Village

Global Village

A global village is a concept that describes the world as a closely interconnected community where information, culture, and economic activities can quickly and easily transcend geographic and cultural boundaries. This term was popularized by Canadian communication theorist Marshall McLuhan in the 1960s. It suggests that advancements in communication technology, particularly the internet and mass media, have made the world seem smaller and more interconnected, allowing people from diverse backgrounds to communicate, interact, and share ideas and information with unprecedented ease.
